yāvānartha udapāne sarvataḥ samplutodake |

tāvānsarveṣu vedeṣu brāhmaṇasya vijānataḥ ||2-46||

Translation

What need has a man for a small reservoir when there is a flood of water on all sides? Such is the need of a Brahmana who knows the Atman for all the Vedas.
