sañjaya uvāca |

evamuktvārjunaḥ saṅkhye rathopastha upāviśat |

visṛjya saśaraṃ cāpaṃ śokasaṃvignamānasaḥ ||1-47||

Translation

Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus on the battlefield, Arjuna, his mind agitated with sorrow, cast aside his bow and arrows and sat down in the rear of the chariot.
